Wow! Is It Fast!
The rate of renewal in our physical bodies is amazing. Radioactive isotope studies have shown that each of us literally replace 98% of all the atoms in our bodies in less than a year, every year. So at the beginning of a year, when someone wishes you Happy New Year, it is literally the truth!
Because of the astounding rate of renewal in the tissues of your body, you have a completely new:
● liver every 6 weeks.
● skeleton once every 3 months.
● stomach lining every 5 days.
● skin once a month.
These are only some of the examples. Even the material from which your brain cells are made is completely different from that which was there just last year. Scientists used to tell us we never got new brain cells, but they have reversed their thinking in light of new evidence. And DNA, the building blocks of our cells, the new material from which it is made changes every 6 weeks. We are in a state of constant growth and renewal.
So Who Are You?
With all this renewal going on, do you know who you are? If you think you are your physical body, you really have a dilemma. About which body are you talking? This year’s model is different from last year’s model — even from last month’s model.
Our bodies are in a constant state of quantum flux — change — renewal. We are not frozen sculptures or machines in which a spirit resides. We are spirits which temporarily (during our time on this planet) visit within these dynamically changing, renewing bodies. Our bodies must constantly change to meet the needs of the spirit which resides within.
Just the Beginning
Human beings are only beginning to understand how bits and pieces of the universe work.
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, E = MC2, provides a mathematical understanding for the relationship between energy and matter and an explanation showing that energy and matter change back and forth from one to the other. It helps us see that constant change is not only possible, but is indeed the state of reality. Nothing is fixed — matter and energy are constantly changing back and forth. And recent understandings of quantum physics support this as well.
Since we are indeed constantly changing and being renewed, and since we have a great deal of input into both the physical and spiritual resources that will be used to create the new person we will each become, it suggests a plan of action for our improved health and well-being.
Improve Your Attitudes.
If you still believe that nothing you can do makes any difference in your outcomes, think again. Your beliefs and attitudes greatly influence the choices you make about everything, and the choices you make influence the results you experience in your renewal, both positive and negative outcomes. Choose more positively.
Improve What You Eat.
Food really is the majority of the material from which you are made. Eat better stuff — get better results.
Get Close to the Source.
Just as food becomes our bodies, so the Word of God is food for our minds and spirits. Our thoughts are renewed based on the nutrients present in what we choose to feed it. Choose well. And while you are at it, take time to get to know the SOURCE of those words.
Every day is the beginning of a Whole New Season of Renewal, and the opportunity to unveil a Whole New You! Be whole, and be holy. It’s good for your health and the New and Improved You!
Remember to be good to you!
