Q. WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
A. Hypnosis is actually a normal, natural state-of-mind. Incredibly, everyone enters this trance-state approximately several times per hour every day. It is the altered state of awareness where the subconscious mind responds immediately to positive suggestion. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that everyone experiences whether they are aware of it or not. The most noticeable time that hypnosis occurs is just before you fall asleep at night and just before you wake up in the morning. Hypnosis is characterized by certain types of brain wave patterns. The beta brain wave patter occurs during normal waking conscious state. Alpha brain waves take place when a person is very relaxed and/or into light hypnosis. Theta brain waves can be seen in deeper states of hypnosis and normal non-dreaming sleep. Contrary to what you see in the movies, hypnotized people are not asleep or unconscious. Rather, they are in a highly focused form of concentration. Have you ever been so involved in watching a movie that you couldn’t hear the person sitting next to you trying to talk to you? This is a simple form of hypnosis.
Q. CAN A PERSON GET STUCK IN A HYPNOTIC TRANCE?
A: Absolutely not, it’s impossible! Even if a volunteer were to be left in a trance-state, he/she would wake up on their own. Also, nobody will do anything against their morals or ethics while in hypnosis. My comedy hypnosis show is not dangerous. I have been performing my show across the country for several years.
Q. IS COMEDY HYPNOSIS DANGEROUS?
A. Not at all. All hypnosis is really self-hypnosis, the hypnotist guides the person into the relaxed mental state known as hypnosis. People under hypnosis are fully aware of their surroundings, they are just so relaxed that they don’t usually care to move about too much. No one has every been “stuck” in hypnosis. If something happened to the hypnotist or if the hypnotist left the room, the hypnotized person would wake up in about five to ten minutes on their own.
Q. CAN THE HYPNOTIST MAKE PEOPLE DO THINGS AGAINST THEIR WILL?
A. No, people will not do anything under hypnosis that they would not do in a normal waking state. All their ethics and morals remain intact. They will not reveal their deepest secrets.
Q. HOW DO YOU CHOOSE PEOPLE TO BE HYPNOTIZED?
A. They are chosen randomly from volunteers during a show. No one is ever forced to come up on stage – except in the case where you would like us to choose one or two people in a particular situation because they are a special guest or a notable member.
Q. CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR COMEDY HYPNOSIS SHOW?
A. It hilarious, fun and created specifically with audience participation in mind. In fact, your guests become the stars of the show! First, music is played to set the mood and get everyone excited. Then the show begins with an entertaining introduction to hypnosis for everyone.
Next, a group of 12 to 20 audience volunteers are invited up to become the stars of the show. They will sit in a row of chairs facing the audience and are then put into deep hypnosis. They will, temporarily, change their personalities and may even become famous celebrities!
Q. DO YOU DO POST-PROM AND GRAD PARTIES?
A: My comedy hypnosis show is the perfect entertainment for a successful grad night or after-prom party. Activities like casinos, bounces and others activities have a short entertainment value. My comedy hypnosis show is clean, interactive school entertainment that will have the students laughing in the aisles for 75 minutes. Post-Prom & Grad Parties – Click Here!
